Most people will go to the shoe store and spend hundreds of dollars each year on shoes that they think look and feel comfortable. In actuality, the majority of the shoe manufacturers spend their resource dollars in developing a long lasting outer sole to withstand the impact of the activity the shoe is designed to complete, which doesn’t provide the necessary support needed. The typical insole that comes with a pair of shoes or boots is a flat 3mm foam lining. This is not enough support for 85% of the population. Each foot is made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, and 19 muscles. With ¼ of all the bones in the human body located in your feet, they are naturally one of the most complex parts of the human body…and it’s your feet that have to support the entire weight of your body! When these bones are out of alignment, so is the rest of your body. During an average day of walking, the total forces on your feet can total hundreds of tons - equivalent to the average weight of a loaded cement truck. Manufacturing the polyurethane layer in a single pour semi-ridgid density supports the tripod of the foot yet allows a comfortable footbed at the same time. Heel cup support
The bottom portion of the heel resembles the curvature of a tennis ball and is the initial point of contact within a shoe when in motion. Our design provides a full heel cup that cradles the entire portion of the heel allowing for the impact forces to disperse over a greater area relieving the hard strike point.
